Sculptor Kim Simonsson creates earthy ceramic pieces that look as though they’ve stepped out of Nordic fairy tales and into our world. For his ‘Moss People‘ series, the artist used this aesthetic to the exciting children and forest animals who served as his muses. What results is a collection formed of five installations that express several juxtapositions. There’s the difference between the earthy, moss-like nylon and almost-alien figures behind this vibrant coating. Viewers will also notice that an element of childlike honesty is twisted together with a darker theme.
